Avatar State, yip yip!

I watched Sozin’s Comet this morning in preparation for Korra which I ended up missing but it’s okay because I’ve had it on my Ipod for the past two weeks and I kept getting feels attacks and it is just such a perfect bundle of episodes and such a perfect finale to a perfect series and as much as I think Korra will rock I think I will miss Aang more.

AU - Avatar: The Last Airbender/The Hunger Games

Phoenix King Ozai controls the entire Four Nations. In order to keep the provinces under control, an annual contest is held in which children with bending powers and other rebels - such as young Water National soliders and Kyoshi Warriors - are sent to arena and made to fight one another to the death. 

Katara, the last of the Southern Water Tribe’s benders, is horrified when she and her brother Sokka are chosen to compete. Joining them is the blind daughter of the wealthy Bei Fong family, Toph, a Kyoshi Warrior named Suki, bounty hunter June, and Zuko, Ozai’s own disgraced son. His sister Azula, herself an accomplised firebender, and her two companions Mai and Ty Lee are charged with making sure none of the contestants escape.

Little do any of them know that, hidden in depths of their remote arena, a hundred year old boy remains locked in ice, waiting to be set free…

This is me agonizing over the wait for Korra while my normal friends watch in horror and disgust.

I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m from the Fire Nation, but you don’t need to be a firebender to know there’s something wrong in this nation when an air nomad, his waterbender girlfriend and her brother, a blind earthbender, and a Kyoshi warrior can save the world, but our kids can’t openly burn them to the ground.

As Phoenix King, I’ll end Avatar Aang’s war on the Fire Nation. And I’ll fight against water, earth, and air attacks on our destructive heritage.

Fire made our nation strong. It can make her strong again.

The other day at school I showing one of my friends who’s unfamiliar with ATLA some episodes from the beginning of the series, but then afterward I showed her Firebending Masters and the look she gave me

It was almost like she was accusing me of trolling her with homosexual gypsy magic or something, she seriously could not even believe what she was watching and it was absolutely priceless ok

So here’s an accurate portrayal of the advancements in Zuko and Aang’s relationship from one season to the next for you guys
